At-Large City-County Councillor Angel M Rivera balances his time as a technology consultant and a public servant. As a business owner, he assists Indianapolis-based technology firms with growing their businesses. As a Councillor, he is an ally to Mayor Ballard on a wide variety of projects. Councillor Rivera has sponsored several new Charter Schools, took part in the special committee pushing the Water/Sewage Transfer that funded the ReBuild Indy initiative and played an important role in the debates regarding our Libraries and our parking meters.

Councillor Rivera is a champion of innovative solutions to our challenges. He has advocated public-private partnerships, charter schools and upgrades to the equipment used by our public safety and public works officers. He sees a limited role for government, focused on fostering a positive business environment that attracts high-paying jobs though low taxation, investing in the quality of our infrastructure and providing educational options for all families.
