Susie Day is serving her first term on the Council, having been elected in November 2003 to represent District 20. Susie is committed to focusing on issues such as public safety, economic development, and the development of neighborhoods. 

Day has been involved in her community through the Beech Grove Parent-Teacher Association and Little League, as well as a member of the Beech Grove City Council from 1991 to 1995.  She served on the Perry Township Board from 1997 to 2003 and is currently a ward chairman and precinct comitteeman. 

Day has 20 years of accounting experience, working for the past three years at Martin Marietta Aggregates as an accounts payable specialist.   She is married with three grown children.
