Gary was born in Indianapolis and grew up on the eastside in what is known again as Emerson Heights. He was educated in IPS and believes very strongly in the importance of the public school system. Gary started off working in the printing industry for about fifteen years, later opening up his own print shop. Currently Gary works as a truck driver, having over 20 years experience in the field. He is married and has three children, all of whom were raised in Indianapolis.
