Mike McQuillen is a life-long resident of Indianapolis and has been married for 21 years to his wife, Polly. A proud product of our Public Schools, Mike graduated from Perry Meridian High School in 1983 and graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 1987 with a Major in Political Science and a Minor in Communications. On his 18th birthday in 1983, Mike was appointed Precinct Committeeman in his home neighborhood and over the past 28 years has served the party in many roles including
PC, VPC, WC, VWC, Asst. Township Chairman, Volunteer and Elected Official.

Currently, Mike serves as the Majority Leader of the City-County Council, having served previously as Majority Whip. He Chairs the Rules and Public Policy Committee and sits on the Economic Development and Criminal Justice Committees as well as the Committee on Committees and as the Council representative to the Capital Improvement Board of Managers. He has also served on the Parks and Community Relations Committees in the past as well as having Chaired the CIB Task Force and Municipal Corporations Committee.

Involved in his community, Mike has also served on many Boards in a Volunteer capacity including the Public Housing Advisory Board and the Sheriff’s Department Citizen’s Advisory Council. An antiques and collectibles dealer by profession, Mike and his wife specialize in political memorabilia and own and operate their own business – PoliticalParade.com.
